I am a travelling freelance photographic artist, based in Brighton in the UK. I enjoy exploring the world around me, expressing what I see with images. In 2001 my exploration of visual art began with 35mm SLR photography - fast black & white film, working with grain and shadows, photographing everything, family, friends, still life and discovering a whole new composition of life around me. My camera became an important outlet for me - a new an exciting tool to express my self. I took my camera everywhere and practised as much as I could. I soon found myself photographing local events, fun days, festivals and recording council meetings with photography for reports and publications, in return for private training with Jerry Lebens of Photo Media in Brighton. Jerry tutored me along side my GCSE black and white college course and has been there for me with spot on advice and support ever since. I passed my photography GCSE with an A + and photographic art became a permanent fixture in my life. Photography has taken me to many places, I also have a huge passion for music of all genres, so my camera went gigging with me. I photographed amongst others, Hawkwind, Alice Cooper, Rolf Harris, The Orb and Madness, on 35mm film, then in 2005 I joined a a website called www.dontstayin.com and then upgraded to a digital SLR and eventually 5 lenses, soon becoming a pro spotter on the site. My black and white soon exploded into rich colour and laser light, as I ventured into the world of dance music and club nights with my camera. I gained a huge amount of technical experience along the way and an ever growing client base of DJs and musicians. My photos and art can be found on to many flyers for Brighton, London and Cardiff club nights and on websites in the UK and Europe. I have become the official photographer for many artists, performers and entertainers in and around the music industry. My
work also takes on a more personal edge, with private portrait shoots
and portfolios. My creative flare for capturing people at their best and
the production of many strong high profile portfolio shoots using a blend
of digital photographs and Adobe photoshop has brought me work from many
clients. My reputation has earned me an established client base within
the music industries, enhancing DJ’s and musician’s
profiles and also providing images for album covers and publicity shoots.
